Yangon, Myanmar – September 29th, 2022 – Yoma Bank has launched a Chinese Yuan bank account service that enables direct payment using RMB/Kyat for China-Myanmar border trade. In order to support the China-Myanmar bilateral trade, which is a key part of the border trade, and to facilitate the fast and smooth flow of goods, the Central Bank of Myanmar has approved the direct use of RMB/Kyat payments in the China-Myanmar border region. 

Therefore, all business customers working with partners in China will be able to open a Chinese Yuan account at Yangon Main Branch and Muse Branch of Yoma Bank.
