Yoma Bank confirms a positive case of an employee in South Dagon Branch

Yangon, Myanmar – 1st October, 2020– Yoma Bank announced today that one of its employees working at South Dagon Branch, Pyay Htaung Su Rd, 24 Ward, South Dagon Township, Yangon has tested positive for COVID-19. The impacted employee was announced positive by the Myanmar Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on 30 September 2020 and is currently undergoing facility quarantine.
All impacted branch employees that may have been in close contact with the affected employee are now undergoing quarantine for 21 days. We are also supporting contact tracing efforts of MOHS.
As part of the Bank’s Business Continuity Plan, Yoma Bank Branches had been on the split team of Group A and Group B since August 2020, the impacted employee is from Group B.
The South Dagon branch is temporary closed for deep cleaning and full disinfection for one day on Friday, October 2nd, 2020. The branch will reopen on Monday, October 5th, 2020 and will resume full service by employees from a Group A.
All Yoma Bank Branches will continue operations as usual, we will be following strict prevention guidelines of MOHS. We will continue to take serious measures for all its employees in relation to social distancing, wearing mask and hand washing. We wish to advise customers to use alternative banking channels that are available:

2. ATM: Customers can withdraw at any ATM machines available in the city
3. MOBILE BANKING: Yoma Bank’s mobile banking facility will remain available to Customers
4. WAVEPAY: Yoma Bank’s SMART Account with linkage to Wavepay, customers can do Cash In/Out at any Wave agent available.
